Do you know that per the new Land Act, a non-indigene can now acquire Usufructuary Interest, which was previously not available to such category, through settlement for a period of not less than 50 years with the permission of the Allodial title Holder. Section 5(1)(b) of Land Act 2020.
Usufructuary Interest is an interest in land which originally could only be acquired by exercising an inherent right by a subject or a member of a stool or skin or family or clan which holds the Allodial title.
