Do you know that in a criminal case an adjournment shall not be more than thirty (30) clear days, or if the accused person has been committed to prison, not for more than fourteen (14) clear days and that the day following that on which the adjournment is made shall be counted as the first day? Section 169 (2) & (3) of Criminal and Other Offences (Procedure) Act, 1960 (Act 30).
