Do you know that a person who unlawfully imprisons any other person either outside or within the jurisdiction of the court without the consent of that person, in a manner that prevents that person from applying to a court for release or from discovering to any other person the place of the imprisonment, commits the offence of kidnapping, a second degree felony and is liable upon conviction to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.
