Do you know that an adoption order shall not be made for a child unless the child has continuously been in the care and possession of the applicant for at least 3 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the order, and the applicant has notified the Department of the intention to apply for an adoption order for the child at least 3 months before the date of the order. Section 67 (3) (b) and (c) of Children’s Act, 1998 Act 560.
