Do you know that where an act constitutes a criminal offence under two or more enactments, the offender is liable to be prosecuted and punished under either of the two, or any of those enactments, but the offender shall not be punished twice for the same offence, criminal or otherwise? Section 9 of Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
