Do you know that marriage under the Ordinance Marriage is null and void under the following circumstances:
- If the marriage is not solemnised within 3 months of the last publication of banns.
- If banns were not published according to the Marriage Act, 1884-1985, such as three (3) Sundays in the face of congregation.
- If a Minister of a religion has not been appointed or the place of worship has not been licensed in accordance with the Marriage Act, 1884-1985
If you found your marriage to be inconsistent with the Act then that your marriage is void and you have to take steps to do the needful.
